Has learned from the Diablo Immortal launch

If asked what tips XD Inc. has learned from the Diablo Immortal launch, Heng didn't mention the game's controversial microtransactions Diablo 2 Resurrected Items. However, he said that many problems with Diablo Immortal stemmed from a failure to handle expectations of players.

"From our perspective, the general public was the most upset about the way Diablo Immortal was presented as an ARPG game, and instead was released as the ARPG MMO," Heng said.

Heng claimed that Diablo Immortal's progression and build choices are narrower than Diablo due to this fact, and that could have confused players looking for a traditional Diablo experience. "If the game didn't use diablo's IP the performance may have been vastly different, in our view," Heng said.

Heng explained that the team from the beginning in development has always made crystal clear to players that Torchlight Infinite is strictly a loot-based ARPG, one with an abundance of potential builds thanks to the game's various systems like hero attributes abilities, talents, and gear affixes.

Mobile games are expected to have regular content updates, and Heng announced they Torchlight Infinite will introduce new seasonal expansions every three months. Seasons will introduce fresh gameplay mechanics and Heng teased that XD will have an "line of new heroes" eagerly waiting to make it into the game's character roster as well.

Unlike previous Torchlight games in which players play as specific characters instead of being a generic class. Torchlight Infinite is an example features a Berserker character, but it's not exactly the same as those who played the Berserker that was in Torchlight II buy d2r items. This is due to the fact that this Berserker is their own unique Character, Rehan, who has their own history and distinct traits compared to the Torchlight II version of the class.
